| New Years in Mississippi=]=]
my sweet little family!! time spent with them is the bomb=]
my little sisters an their boyfriends...
we spent a lot of time back at the beach!! playing... anyone wanna come over yet? lol...some of the sweetest white sand right in our back yard=] bonfire and roman candles=] oh yeah!
our ride back there...on the left side are my cousins, renee, amy and paula...renee and paula flew in from colorado and surprised most of their family! amy's from macon, ms... on the right there we have sherri and heidi...also from out of state. thanks all of ya'll for comin down and spendin part of your vacation with me! it was so much fun to have you at my place in hot coffee, ms=]
another ride we took back there. here's a tribute to my grandma...she climbed right over that back wheel into the backseat!! then held on and never complained while we slid in the mud and climbed a big ridge=] she's the best!
we had lots of company around the place the week that i was home=]
my cousin amy, and her beautiful lil baby boy, ashton
another ride down thru the pine trees with family...i tell you what, life sure was full during that short week=] but most of the best moments were spent with these two dear, crazy sisters...they're the best and i luv em like crazy=]
so, that was new years...now it's back to life in cold, snowy thunder bay. today it warmed up tho...i'm purdy sure that it got up to zero=]lol...yep! well, life is full for me at the moment=] its exciting to see God working among and thru us as a team as well as personally. there are lots of exciting possibilities ahead...more opportunities opening up at the high school. And now that i've been here almost four months already there's lots of friends and that means that more of my time is filled up, but that's cool with me, in fact i like it better that way! however, our day off on monday to catch up with ourselves is always appreciated... God has been so good to me...way more than i could ever ask for or even deserve! why me? when there's so many of my friends who don't want to go back home because of broken families and abuse...it could easily have been me.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 REJOICE evermore! PRAY without ceasing! In everything GIVE THANKS: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

| Merry belated Christmas to ya'll...! here's a few pictures of my christmas=] I went home to Deer Lake with Rochelle for a week.
had fun hangin with her and her siblings, Diana and Uriah=]
ice fishing with nets!! yep, had to chip away the ice from two holes, pull the net out (it was placed there earlier) and get the fish untangled from the net...Rochelle's two aunts let us tag along.
another of my good friends, Merilla, who also lives in Deer Lake took me away for the day=] had a lot of fun spending the day with her, baking cookies and decorating a ginger bread house. getting ready for the feasting to start christmas eve...
back at Rochelle's place...more prep for feasting...even the children pitched in=]
it's midnight...let the muckshey begin! it was great...it all starts at midnight on christmas eve. family groups would go from house to house and greet everyone with a handshake and merry christmas=] then sit down to a table loaded with turkey, ham, moose, fish, rabbit, bannock, and lots and lots of pies, cakes, cookies and candy!! this went on until around 3am!
then it was off to sleep in christmas morning, a big breakfast and the opening of the presents! the feasting began again at 9pm that night and lasted till midnight... there's just too much that happened there to tell it all on this page...it was a new experience for me, but one that was packed with excitement and fun=] thanks Rochelle for all you did for me. you've been a great friend and encouragment to me and i love you!
i was gonna post about my time at home in mississippi for new years too, but my pictures didn't upload right...MAYBE i'll still do that sometime...lol... that's it for now...God bless you in the coming year with experiences that will make you learn more about yourself and the GREAT God that we serve=]

| ok uncle jim, i saw your footprint on my site and figured you were looking for this! well, here it finally is=] does it still look like it used to? a little info for the rest of you who have no idea what the "sleeping giant" is...
The Sleeping Giant is a formation of mesas on Sibley Peninsula which resembles a giant lying on its back when viewed from the West to North-Northwest section of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. As one moves southward along the shoreline toward Squaw Bay the Sleeping Giant starts to separate into its various sections. Most distinctly in the view from the cliffs at Squaw Bay the Giant appears to have an "Adam's Apple". The formation is part of Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. Its dramatic steep cliffs are among the highest in Ontario (250 m). The southernmost point is known as Thunder Cape, depicted by many early Canadian artists such as William Armstrong. An Ojibway legend identifies the giant as Nanabijou, who was turned to stone when the secret location of a rich silver mine now known as Silver Islet was disclosed to white men.
and a few more pictures before i go... this is karla, my sweet, fun, partner at 401=]
don't laugh! these cookies may look like some fer blobs from the local mud hole...but they were actually quite edible=] a sweet little party of three=]
life is good...God is life=] take care my friends...
